Greywind announce new EP Antidote alongside single 'You're My Medicine'
The Irish sibling duo continue their impressive return with their newest single 'You're My Medicine'.
Irish emo duo Greywind have announced their new EP Antidote, scheduled for release on March 15th, alongside new single ‘You’re My Medicine’.
The brother and sister duo from Killarney describe their new single as “The story of our lives so far. Our story as family, our story as individuals, and our story as Greywind.”
This follows hot on the heels of theEP's title track as well as the deeply personal ‘Swing and Sway’, which brother Paul O’Sullivan said was written about “watching Steph be suicidal and in a dark place, and how that affected me. Wondering how I can help her, while also acknowledging the toll it was taking on me to watch her go through that.”
These new singles have generated significant excitement around the duo, with heavy airplay internationally on stations such as Triple J in Australia and Sirius XM in America.
This unprecedented success comes off the back of a difficult couple of years for the siblings as a battle over the rights to their debut put the prospect of new music in jeopardy.
As well as legal issues, the band had to deal with unrealistic expectations from those around them after highly praised sets at the likes of Download and Reading.
However, the band bounced back in 2023, with several singles off their debut Aftermath, achieving viral success and introducing the duo to millions of new listeners worldwide.
Unshaken by their rollercoaster experience with the music industry, Greywind display their defiant attitude throughout their new EP, which is jointly produced by Sam Guiana (Silverstein, Intervals) and Casey Cavaliere (of The Wonder Years).
Ultimately, this EP displays the O’Sullivan siblings’ collective creativity, and their ability to lean on each other when times are tough.
