Green Day release new single
It received its Irish debut on this morning's Gerry Ryan Show – now you can download the band's new 'Know Your Enemy' single via iTunes.
Five year after their American Idiot LP – which went 8-times platinum in Ireland – Green Day are back with new album 21st Century Breakdown, hitting the shelves on May 15.
And now fans can get a taster of what to expect with debut single 'Know Your Enemy', played for the first time on 2fm this morning, and now available to download on iTunes.
This may be the band's first release in half a decade, but rest assured they've been kept busy, working on the record since 2006, along with producer Butch Vig (Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins).
Apparently we can look forward to a 'more religious' record with 21st Century Breakdown, as Billie Joe says the trio looked at "reflecting what's been happening the past three years and putting it to melody with some bold statements."
The record has already been praised for its 'die-hard punk ideals', and judging by the revolutionary single cover (pictured), we expect it to deliver.
