Garth Brooks tops the Irish Album Chart
Brooks Fever has clearly hit the nation as his 2007 Ultimate Hits arrives from nowhere to return to the summit.
All change at the top of the Irish Album Chart this week. A month ahead of his still astonishing five night run in Croke Park (July 25-29, don't bother trying to get tickets), the country star's collection The Ultimate Hits has rocketed straight back to number one on the Irish Album Chart. Released in 2007, it previously spent 30 weeks on the chart.
It means Lana Del Rey – who has had a phenomenally successful first week around the world – will have to settle for second place here. Her Ultraviolence debuts at No. 2, pushing last week's chart-toppers Coldplay and their new Ghost Stories into third.
Tribal, the fourth LP from Imelda May, moves down a spot, while Sam Smith's In The Lonely Hour holds firm at No. 5.
In sixth position we have another new entry, this time from nu-metal veterans Linkin Park, who have just released The Hunting Party.
Paolo Nutini's Caustic Love is static at No. 7, and Kasabian's 48:13 takes a bit of a tumble from last week's runner-up spot down to eight.
Kodaline's debut and Jack White's second solo effort, Lazaretto, round off the Top 10.
