Fundraiser launched to help bring Jinx Lennon to Glastonbury – and treat him "like a lord" while he's there
Colm Olwill is cycling from Pembroke in Wales to the iconic festival, in an effort to raise the funds
A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help cover the costs of Jinx Lennon's upcoming travels to Glastonbury – and to allow the Dundalk artist be treated "like a lord" while he's there.
The fundraiser was launched by Colm Olwill – one of the masterminds behind Trad Rave, alongside Jack Dempsey aka Djackulate. Colm helps run the Underground Piano Bar, a beloved DIY venue at Glastonbury, where Jinx is set to play this year.
"I'm cycling the 300k from Pembroke in Wales to Glastonbury in one day with the aim of fundraising money so he can be treated well while he's in UK," Colm explained in his GoFundMe description. "The money will be used to top up his fee and to fund his accommodation and transport. Hopefully, with your help, he will eat like a lord while there. Sponsor my cycle and get Jinx to Glasto!"
Over the past few days, the fundraiser has garnered €605 of its €1,500 target.
Jinx released his latest album, Walk Lightly When The Jug Is Full, last year.
His upcoming shows include a gig with Muckno at the Thomas House in Dublin on Friday, June 21.
