Frames confirm new guitarist
Rob Bochnik joins Glen Hansard and co as Dave Odlum's replacement
There are more changes on The Frames line-up front with the band confirming the permanent recruitment of guitarist Rob Bochnik.
The American, who's spent the past eight years working as a sound engineer at Steve Albini's Electrical Audio Studios, has already played with them live and is said by an insider to be "the perfect replacement for Dave Odlum. He's a great player and totally in tune with the Frames vibe."
Bochnik met Glen Hansard & Co. when they came in to record For The Birds at Electrical Audio, and has also worked with U.S. left-fielders like Garden Bower, Butcher Shop Quartet and Nad Navillus.
Meanwhile, The Frames commence a US tour this week with original drummer Paul "Binzer" Brennan filling-in for the departed Dave Hingerty. The measure, according to management, is just temporary.
