Florence + The Machine hold firm at number one
Kodaline and The Script both re-enter the Top 5 on the Irish Albums Chart as they play big Irish gigs.
With Dave Grohl immobilised and Foo Fighters consequently off the road, tonight is Florence Welch's big night. Florence + The Machine step up to the plate on the Pyramid Stage this evening as Friday headliners at Glastonbury. The band have early reason to celebrate , as news comes in that their third record, How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful is once again the best-selling album in Ireland.
It keeps Hozier's eponymous debut off the top of the Irish Albums Chart. Mr. Hozier-Byrne is up from third position but has to settle for second.
When she's not saving the music industry, Taylor Swift is also selling records. Her 1989 also climbs a spot, up from No. 4. to No. 3.
Kodaline played Live At The Marquee last night and now they're Dublin-bound – their big Royal Hospital Kilmainham gig takes place tonight. Clearly in the thoughts of plenty thoughts, it's helped sales of their latest album. Coming Up For Air jumps from No. 7 to No. 4.
A similar situation for The Script. Fresh from headlining Croker, their most recent album, No Sound Without Silence, climbs from No. 9 to round off the Top 5.
Their self-titled debut has also re-entered the charts, placed at No. 28, just below another returning album – ABBA's Gold.
