FKA Twigs announces new album EUSEXUA Afterglow
The project will be released next month, according to the British artist
FKA Twigs has announced she will release a new album titled EUSEXUA Afterglow, following the conclusion of her European tour.
The 37-year-old hinted at the record during her recent set at Lowlands Festival in the Netherlands.
“New music — I am full and abundant and ready to give birth. Her name is Afterglow. And my labour shall commence next month,” she told the crowd.
According to a report from Stereogum, the title of the project is EUSEXUA Afterglow and is a standalone project, not an expanded edition of her previous album.
Earlier this year, Twigs released EUSEXUA, her third studio album, described by Hot Press as “a liberating, experimental and nuanced consideration of self-discovery”.
Twigs has since put out the single ‘Perfectly’ and featured on Yeat’s track ‘FLY NITË’.
Her European tour concluded this month, before which Twigs pulled out of Coachella and several U.S. dates earlier in the year, citing visa issues.
“I was informed that production did not fill out the correct paperwork in a timely manner for us to have our visas to come to the USA and perform,” she explained at the time.
