Finalists for the National Student Music Prize announced

Following regional heats in UCC and UCD, the Meteor Award-nominated Angels Of Mons, The Delorentos, The Handsum Binmen and Fired For Theft have made it through to the Irish Grand Final of the National Student Music Prize.

Taking place in Dublin’s Temple Bar Music City on March 31, the winners will receive – cue fanfare – four days recording time in Grouse Lodge studios, a radio session and a spot in the UK Final, which could in turn lead to a session in Abbey Road where The Beatles recorded.

Along with that little lot, there’s the added attraction of being given the once-over by the A&R community.
