Festival outing
SINÉAD O’CONNOR HAS pulled out of the Wotapalava festival, which is travelling to 17 American cities in July, and features a number of artists with gay credentials.
O’Connor’s decision to bail due to “unforeseen family commitments” was FAX-ed to the organisers just five hours before the official launch press conference.
The good news is that Rufus Wainwright, The Magnetic Fields, Soft Cell and The Pet Shop Boys are still on board, and looking forward to some serious partying.

“Wotapalava will be a celebration of individuality and the freedom to be what you want to be,” says Neil Tennent. “This is not exclusively an issue of sexuality. It’s about having the power to live as you want.”
