Festival Of World Cultures acts confirmed
A wide range of internationally acclaimed musicians have been confirmed to perform at the Festival Of World Cultures in Dun Laoghaire, County Dublin.
The festival starts on Friday August 26, and concludes on Sunday August 28.
Highlights include Irish traditional favourites Kíla (pictured) playing on the same bill as skilled tonkori player Oki, an indigenous rights activist of mixed Japanese-Ainu blood.
This concert will take place at 8pm on August 26, in Monkstown Parish Church.
The following night, there will be another possible classic in Coastline @ The Purty Kitchen.
Senegalese rappers Daara J will be showcasing their unique brand of conscious rap, starting at 10.30pm.

There will also be a number of free gigs in Dun Laoghaire’s bars and hotels, including:
Gael Slí (August 26, Kingston Hotel Bar), Zrazy (August 26, Kozie II), Aligator (August 26, Walters), Sumu (August 26, 40 Foot Bar), Prison Love (August 26, Eagle House), East (August 26, Nemo’s Café Bar), John Spillane (August 27, Eagle House), Nigel Mooney (August 27, Kozie II), The Karen Underwood Band (August 27, Portview Hotel), Banda Zingara (August 27, Walters), Explosion Soundsystem (August 27, Nemo’s Café Bar), Harmonic Sound (August 27, Weirs), Mangeira (August 28, Eagle House), Niall Toner (August 28, Portview Hotel), Jazmu (August 28, Walters) and Gypsy Jazz Quartet (August 28, Kozie II).
There will also be several free outdoor concerts during the festival:
