Everything's Fine
Far from loud excessive rockisms, Willard Grant Conspiracy flirt around the edges of folk-rock and lo-fi country. This, their fourth album, captures a warm glow that will doubtless delight many who are already partial to Nick Cave and Tindersticks.

With a line-up that includes mandolin, B-3 organ, accordian, dobro, harmonica, viola, cello, banjo and lap steel, you are never going to be short of textures that flesh out the songs and instrumentals. ‘Ballad Of John Parker’ is atmospheric, while ‘Southend Of A Northbound Train’ plays like a mini-screenplay for a low budget desert movie.
Everything’s Fine is, clearly, not your average party album. Rather, it generates its own parched but sunny atmosphere and free floating mood.
Those already in on The Conspiracy will welcome this, while for the uninitiated it offers a good place to start getting acquainted with their music.
