Ed Sheeran to exhibit original artwork, painted in London car park
Ed Sheeran's 'Cosmic Carpark Paintings' will be on display from July 11 to August 1 at London's Heni Gallery
The Heni Gallery in London has announced a new exhibition featuring original paintings by singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.
His abstract art was created in between the international leg of his Mathematics tour last year. The 'Bad Habits' singer used an abandoned car park in London as a studio for his expressionist paintings.
Sheeran said he enjoyed art classes in school during his childhood days in Suffolk and felt inspired to start painting after finishing up his Divide tour in 2019.
Now, Heni Gallery in Soho, London, has decided to give his 'Cosmic Carpark Paintings' a stage in an exhibition that will run from July 11 to August 1, 2025.
The pop star took to Instagram to share the news with his fans: "I love painting, more for fun and to give to friends, but this time I was encouraged to do a show of them by Damien Hirst and Heni."

"I paint when I’m not working on a record, just to do something creative with my brain. And it’s mostly just splashing colours on canvases; think Jackson Pollock but with colourful house paint. I am by no means 'an artist,' but I do love making art; it makes me feel great, and I love the end result," he explained.
Prints and paintings from the collection will be available to purchase, with the proceeds going to the Ed Sheeran Foundation. The organisation supports music education and provides grants for select schools, projects, and community music groups across the UK.
