Ed Sheeran performs 'Fairytale of New York' in Dublin
Watch last night's performance below.
Last night, Ed Sheeran performed a cover of The Pogues’ 'Fairytale of New York', which featured the late Kirsty MacColl, at his sold-out 3Arena show.
Sheeran was joined onstage by Beoga, Biird and Nizlopi for the surprise collaborative rendition.
The 3Arena show closed out Sheeran's Play tour for the year, with previous gigs in Paris, Munich, Coventry and Manchester earlier this month.
The performance follows his eighth studio album Play, shared in September. The release debuted at No. 1 on the Irish Albums Chart, marking the artist's fifth No. 1 chart appearance in Ireland.
Last month, the singer performed a surprise show in Dublin to a select group of his top Spotify listeners. The appearance followed Sheeran's August surprise gig at the Fleadh Cheoil in a Wexford pub.
The singer is set to continue his tour early next year, with a run of shows in New Zealand set for January.
