The single, featuring fellow Dubliner Jazzy, features in the Top 10 alongside tracks by the likes of Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles and more.
The biggest singles of 2022 so far in the UK have been revealed – with Dublin collective Belters Only ranking at a phenomenal No.9 with their hit single 'Make Me Feel Good', featuring Jazzy.
Less than five months ago, Belters Only became one of Irish music’s most remarkable success stories in years – crashing onto the charts on both sides of the Irish Sea with their debut single, ‘Make Me Feel Good’. As well as reaching No.4 in the UK, the Dublin collective spent two consecutive weeks at No.1 on the Official Irish Singles Chart – the first homegrown dance act to top the chart in over two decades.
The success of the track, which has garnered over 48.8 million streams on Spotify, plus a few million more on its remixes, signalled the arrival of a phenomenal new force – ready to shake up the established scene on these shores and beyond.
“We’re still celebrating – everyday!” RobbieG, one half of the collective’s central duo, recently told Hot Press. “But we didn’t go mad. We just went straight to the studio and had a chat – and basically evaluated the whole moment.
"But as soon as we came around, we were out on the gargle!" he added, laughing.
The Top 10 of Official Charts' 'Biggest Songs of 2022 So Far' also includes Harry Styles' 'As It Was (No.1); Fireboy DML and Ed Sheeran's 'Peru' (No.2); 'We Don't Talk About Bruno' from Disney's Encanto (No.3); Ed Sheeran's 'Bad Habits' (No.4); Lost Frequencies' 'Where Are You Now' feat. Calum Scott (No.5); Ed Sheeran's 'Shivers' (No.6); Cat Burns' 'Go' (No. 7); Glass Animals' 'Heat Waves' (No.8); and Dave's 'Starlight'.
The Top 20 also includes the likes of Sam Fender, Elton John & Dua Lipa, Adele, Gayle, Jack Harlow and more.
