Dream pop band The Radio Dept are coming to Dublin
The Swedish group will headline Whelans, Dublin on April 19.
Back in October , The Radio Dept released their 4th full-length album Running Out of Love - an album life in Sweden and social regression.
In the summer of 2014 following a creative pause due to a lengthy legal battle with their record label and publisher, ideas and concepts for Running Out of Love started to come together and the single “Death to Fascism” - now too outdated to be included - was the first effort towards the album.
Later, more songs started to appear. The court case is dealt with in “Occupied”, the Swedish weapon and arms industry in “Swedish Guns”, while “We Got Game” is about the police tradition of protecting nazis and racists, whilst at the same time using brutal violence against opposing groups of protesters.
Tickets priced €16.50 go on sale Tuesday 31st January at 9am through www.whelanslive.com, www.ticketmaster.ie & usual outlets nationwide.
