Dolores O’Riordan and Andy Rourke collaboration set for Whelan's
Along with Olé Koretsky, the D.A.R.K. trio play the Wexford St. venue in May
An unlikely collaboration between Dolores O’Riordan, Andy Rourke and Olé Koretsky will visit Whelan's in May.
D.A.R.K sees the Cranberries frontwoman, the bassist of The Smiths and the comparatively unknown New York-based DJ and producer join forces on Science Agrees, a full album landing on May 27. A collaboration between Andy and Olé provided the genesis, with Olé's pre-existing Science Agrees project providing the launchpad.
Betraying a passion for electronica and new wave, the record touches on themes of isolation, trauma, drug addiction, death and love - but all in a rather ear-pleasing style, we would proffer.
For proof, wrap your ears around early cut 'Curvy' below; D.A.R.K. visit Whelan's on May 16, with tickets on sale now priced at €23.
