David Rooney To Play Dolmen Theatre
The singer songwriter, whose debut album was produced by Declan O’Rourke, will be backed by pianist Jay Wilson
David Rooney has confirmed a show in the Dolmen Theatre later this month.
The singer-songwriter, whose Declan O’Rourke-produced album Bound Together was released recently, has been garnering critical plaudits for his live appearances. For this gig he will be joined by pianist Jay Wilson, who features on the album and is a member of his larger backing band.
Rooney recently released a video for the track ‘Moondust’, which he directed himself. The video stars Malcolm Adams and Grace Kelley Fitzgerald.
The gig takes place on Thursday, 21 September, in the Dolmen Theatre in Cornelscourt, on the south side of the city. The theatre is part of the Magic Carpet, one of the best known hostelries in the region. Tickets are €12 and can be booked directly on 087-101 8202.
