David Keenan announces Whelan’s gig
He will be performing the show with a full band.
David Keenan will play a show at Whelan’s on 11 January.
The Dundalk singer, who is usually just accompanied by his acoustic guitar on stage, will be joined by a full band for the gig - just like he did at Forbidden Fruit on Monday.
“I send word to you today with news of a headline happening in Dublinia’s Whelan’s on the 11th day of January Twenty 19,” said Keenan.
“Something true was cultivated in that same room at our last gathering there, let us converge and let us conjure, let us express and explore, let us stand and raise the mast for every fallen girl and boy whose dreams died in fifth class.”
It is the first date he has announced for 2019. Keenan is about to embark on another tour of America before playing a few show in Ireland and the UK as well as an appearance at the Lollapalooza festival in Berlin.
Limited early bird tickets go on sale this Friday 8 June at 9am from ticketmaster.ie and whelanslive.com
