Dave Clarke to celebrate 30 years of SHINE in Belfast’s Limelight
The legendary DJ plays on April 18 and is accompanied by Conor Schmutz and b2b Marion Hawkes.
To celebrate 30 years of SHINE events in Belfast, the promoter will be welcoming legendary DJ Dave Clarke to Limelight on April 18.
The event comes as part of a series curated by SHINE across the year, paying homage to the music and DJ's that have defined Belfast's most iconic and longest running club event over the past three decades.
Once a weekly electronic music event at the Queens Students Union, world class venues, festivals and countless sell out events have blossomed from SHINE over the past three decades.
It was established almost 30 years ago in Belfast by local promoter Alan Simms, and has grown to encompass interests in the Belsonic, Emerge and CHSQ annual festivals, as well as venues such as The Telegraph Building, The Limelight and Dublin’s Academy.

Last month, the Belfast-based promoter won the UK Regional Promoter Of The Year at the UK Live Awards.
The name most synonymous with SHINE over the years, Dave Clarke has played countless times since the late 90s. In 2024, he performed an intimate show at the Ulster Sports Club which sold out in a matter of hours.
He will be accompanied by special guests Conor Schmutz and b2b Marion Hawkes.
