Danny Brown “I’m a fan of Kanye, Nas, and Dizzee”

In the latest Hot Press the rapper talks candidly about getting off lean, women vs. cartoons, and the records that transformed him.

“Dizzee Rascal and Nas…. they were talking, being very detailed, about a place I’ve never been. When I listen to those albums I can close my eyes and feel like I’m in that place. Queensbridge Projects, listening to Illmatic. Bow, listening to Boy In Da Corner. Chief Keef makes feel like I’m in Chicago. I want to sit them right in the kitchen in Detroit. I want to sit them right where I’m at!”

Also on the agenda was his recent mood swings.

“I been good for a minute now but I was still going through crazy mood swings and shit… but now I think I’m through it. Just waking up feeling alright.”
