Damien Dempsey, Paddy Casey & Gavin Glass guest on Black Bank Folk album
The band launch the Rising with a Liberty Hall gig
Black Bank Folk give their Rising album the official launch treatment on March 5 when they play Dublin's Liberty Hall with still-to-be-annouced special guests.
Damien Dempsey, Paddy Casey, Gavin Glass, Grace O'Malley and Jem Mitchell all appear on the record, which is folk-driven but goes off on all sorts of musical flights of fancy.
The band hope through their music to highlight some of the lesser-known stories of 1916. Founder member John Colbert has a personal stake in the commemorations, with his great uncle Con Colbert one of the Easter Rising leaders.
Tickets priced €15 are available from the venue.
