Crème Brulée Doughnuts, anyone?
Join the bunfight this weekend at Dublin's pop-up Allta Bakery
Yesterday we regaled you with details of Deadly Bagel, now it’s our pleasure to point you in the waistline threatening direction of the new bakery pop-up from Allta, the outrageously tasty modern Italian joint, which resides at 101 Setanta Place, Dublin 2.
Open from 10am on Saturday and Sunday, the goodies are constantly changing but last weekend included Crème Brulée Doughnuts, Blood Orange Eclairs, Wild Garlic Sourdough and Whiskey Hot Chocolate. It was a good 45 minutes before we got to the front of the queue, but we didn’t mind as there were lots of other fun loving foodies to talk to.
While the rest of the wine bar remains shuttered, their Allta Boxes will this weekend include such delights as Shiitake Miso Butter, Asparagus Gnocchi, Oxtail Macaroni and Sheep’s Milk + Blood Orange Panna Cotta with Fennel Granito. If you want paired wines, they've got them too.
