Covid-19: Indiependence 2020 is the latest Irish festival to rain check
We'll be sorry to see them go, but there's always next year.
Indiepnedence announced Tuesday that they will be cancelling their 2020 festival, in accordance with the new social distancing ban on mass gatherings until the end of August.
The festival was scheduled to take place in Cork over the course of three days, between July 31st and August 2nd. Sigrid, Stereophonics, and The Streets were scheduled to headline.
"It is with a heavy heart that we confirm INDIE will not take place this year", the statement reads. "In the face of the current COVID-19 crisis we fully agree with this decision and want to take this opportunity to thank those frontline workers currently giving their all to keep us safe".
