The 30,000 punters who manage to get their hands on free tickets will also be able to cop an earful of REM, Atomic Kitten, Mel B, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Nelson Mandela who’s expected to say a few well-chosen words.
“Ticket wristbands to the Concert On The Square are free, but can only be gained by calling the hotline on (0044) 906 617 2904,” says a spokesman. “Calls to this number will result in a donation to the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund and The Prince’s Trust.”
In the meantime, it’s “get well soon” to Andrea who’s been laid up with a mild dose of food poisoning.
