Cocaine Piss to play The Workman's Club in April
The Belgian punk rockers will bring their chaotic live show to Dublin.
Belgian rockers Cocaine Piss will play Dublin's The Workman's Club on April 23.
The band launched out of Liège in 2014 and quickly became an important name in the Walloon alternative rock scene. They became mainstays through their chaotic live shows, high octane blens of punk and noise all over quickly. It's like Dead Kennedys, Bikini Kill and Melt Banana, right up until the venue cuts the power and everything's suddenly over, leaving you euphoric, disoriented and punching walls just for fun.
Despite their unmarketable name, the band have successfully played over 400 gigs all over Europe. Their energy and sound continue to grow, combining hardcore and 80s nose rock influences.
Their music might be nasty, provocative, dirty and mean, but their message is always a positive one that should leave a mark as deep as their riffs will cut. Gender equality is the main thread in their work, and they always make it a point to collaborate with young and promising people.
Tickets for their Dublin gig are €12.80 and go on sale Wednesday, February 19 at 9am via Ticketmaster.
