Cork indie band Cliffords have released their new single 'Marsh'.
The track marks the band's first release since their EP Salt of the Lee, released in May.
The project reflects the band's experiences navigating their early twenties in their hometown of Cork, Ireland. It explores themes of love, grief, doubt, and personal growth, with the title being a play on "salt of the earth" and the river Lee that runs through Cork.
'Marsh' is described as a "gritty, moody, indie rock track" that discusses the topic of seasonal depression.
“'Marsh' is a song that explores the heavy feelings of seasonal depression," says Cliffords, "when the weight of it makes the air feel thick and hard to move through. Appreciating the little moments like the winter sun or walks with friends eases the overwhelming thoughts and feelings.”
Cliffords recently played a show in Dublin's Academy and in their native county of Cork at Cork City Hall. This year they've also joined Dermot Kennedy at his Misneach Festival in Sydney.
