Clement Marfo and Stooshe set to play The Academy
It's a London double header for Dublin.
A mad mix of R&B, hip hop and grime hits the capital this summer as Stooshe and Clement Marfo & The Frontline announce today their plans The Academy on May 3.
Combining distinctly '90s pop with a more progressive edge, girl trio Stooshe have been making waves in the last couple of months, and were nominated for the BBC Sound Of 2012 poll. 'Love Me', the lead single from their forthcoming Swings & Roundabouts album, was released last week.
As for Clement Marfo & The Frontline, the London "mini-army" have a sound that encapsulates the more thrilling bits of grime and rave, and will play Cork's Cyprus Avenue the previous evening, May 2. If you head to their website now you can get a free download of The Welcome EP in exchange for an email address.
The two will take to The Academy stage on Thursday May 3. Tickets are priced at €20 and are onsale now from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide and [link]www.ticketmaster.ie[/link].
