Chris Thile to perform at the National Concert Hall in November
Thile's last performance at the venue was in 2023 with Nickel Creek.
Chris Thile will perform at Dublin’s National Concert Hall on November 19 as part of the Perspectives Series.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on March 28. The show will include selections from Thile’s solo recordings of Bach’s Sonatas and Partitas, classical work, folk music and Thile’s improvisation.
The mandolinist, singer, songwriter and composer earned acclaim as a founding member of the string band Punch Brothers. He’s collaborated with artists like Fiona Apple, Yo-Yo Ma and Brad Mehldau. In 2023, he performed at the National Concert Hall with Nickel Creek in support of their album Celebrants. For the past four years, he has also hosted the public radio show Live from Here with Chris Thile.
Other performers for the National Concert Hall’s Perspective Series will include The Cruellest Month, Oded Tzúr Quartet, Brad Mehldau Trio, Anouar Brahem Quartet and more.
