Charli XCX announces new album 'Brat' to be released Summer 2024

Fans will anticipate the release of 'Brat' after Charli XCX announced on social media that it would release this summer.

British pop singer-songwriter Charli XCX is making a return. The album Brat will be released this summer with 15 tracks. This announcement was given on X right after the announcement of a new track, titled 'Von Dutch" which will come out tomorrow (February 29th).

When talking about the album she said, "Was struggling to find the words for this earlier." "Every record I make is my ‘favourite record’ once i finish it, but I think this one might be my all time favourite forever.”

She has described the album as being a "club record" that she can't wait to play around the world. Featuring 15 songs that total 41 minutes in runtime, this description lines up with her history of nightlife and party scenes.

'Von Dutch' hints at the album's direction and the innovative sound for which Charli is infamous.

The single will be her first solo single since 'Speed Drive' last year which was featured in the Barbie Movie soundtrack.

Collaborations have been rumored and a limited-edition vinyl might be up for grabs. Brat will certainly be a defining chapter in Charli's career.

On her merch store, she's selling a limited-edition vinyl copy of Brat on a two-sided picture disc. This is the only physical copy so far. One of the images is a close-up of her face. The vinyl comes with a book of lyrics, a newsprint segment, and a sticker. Anyone can pre-order it and find more information on her website.

A couple of days ago, Charli also performed a sold-out Boiler Room DJ set in Brooklyn, where she brought special guests Addison Rae, A.G. Cook, and her fiancé, George Daniel of The 1975. There could be even some other collaborations on the record, because of this!

Charli XCX has a unique career that is constantly evolving. This latest project promises to exceed the expectations set by her previous works, marking yet another milestone in her acclaimed career.
