U.K rap juggernaut Central Cee has rounded off 2023 with the single ‘Entrapreneur’.
A typically unfiltered release, the song is “an authentic look back into Cench’s journey to the top, and his hectic schedule of the past two years”, according to a press statement.
Touching on themes of clothing lines and selling t-shirts, ‘Entrapreneur’ features an intro from global fashion band entrepreneur Mikey Trapstar : “The trap’s still running. It’s never turning off. Different product, same hustle mentality.”
Central Cee teased fans through cryptic social media posts, in which he showed a sneak peak of the song as well as a new t-shirt.
‘Entraprenuer’ eventually dropped alongside a visual, which was filmed in London and Finland and showcases the rapper in alongside his friends, wearing a Jude Bellingham football shirt.
The release follows from the enormous success of Central Cee’s collaborative project ‘Split Decision’ with Dave, and the single ‘Sprinter’, the latter of which was crowned as the most played song of 2023 on Spotify in the UK.
‘Sprinter’ also became the longest-running number-one rap song in the U.K, holding the position for 10 weeks.
Despite a relatively quiet 2023 in terms of new releases, Central Cee became the first UK Rapper to hit 2 billion streams on Spotify - doubling his numbers from the previous year.
