Cathy Davey confirmed for Eurosonic 2008
Dublin/London singer Cathy Davey has been confirmed as the Irish act for the annual Eurosonic showcase.
The chanteuse is one of the first confirmed acts for the festival which takes place between 10 - 12 January in Groningen, The Netherlands.
Over 200 acts are set to showcase their talents in 25 venues around the city, in Europe-wide version of festivals like Hard Working Class Heroes.
Other acts confirmed to play are Who Made Who (Denmark), Detektivbyrån (Sweden), Pete Philly & Perquisite (Netherlands), Little Cow (Hungary) and The Dø (France), with many more to be confirmed.
Previous Irish entrants include The Frames, BellX1 and Choice Music Prize winner Julie Feeney.
