Business for sale: Big Brother Records
Charismatic record shop owner Killian Murphy is passing on the Big Brother gauntlet... Have you got what it takes?
After five years of faithful service to Dublin’s vinyl-hungry population, Big Brother Records is up for sale.
Trading out of the basement of Road Records on Fade Street, Big Brother Records specializes in quality independent music, generally of an electronic leaning.
They have developed a significant online presence over the last two years, whereby customers can order both records and CDs from their full online catalogue at www.bigbrotherrecords.com
Big Brother's e-Brother also distributes a super weekly e-mailout, featuring all available new releases and the most discerning reviews you’ll find outside of Hot Press.
Killian Murphy, the current owner and biggest brother of them all, is now taking offers for purchase of the business.
"The last four full years audited accounts are here for you to take away and browse at your leisure," he writes in his mailout, "so pop in or drop us a mail if you think this might be the move you've been waiting for."
Killian assures customers that business will run as usual until his departure in January 2004 for the sunnier climes of Barcelona. He encourages all interested parties to contact him via email at [email protected].
Big Brother Records is located at 16 Fade Street, Dublin 2.
