Bob Dylan wins Nobel prize in literature
The man recognised as one of the finest lyricists to ever walk the earth has been awarded the prestigious prize this morning
Bob Dylan has been awarded the Nobel prize in Literature 2016.
The iconic musician was announced as the winner of the prestigious award this morning, with judges singling him out “for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition”.
He becomes the 113th writer to receive the award, worth 8m Swedish krona or €820,000.
