Belinda Carlisle to play Vicar Street
The Go-Go’s vocalist is on her way to Dublin
Belinda Carlisle, the gutsy singer-songwriter of numerous power ballads has announced UK and Irish dates for Autumn 2019 to celebrate thirty years of her album Runaway Horses. Carlisle initially gained attention as the co-founder and lead vocalist of the ground breaking all-female new wave/rock band, The Go-Go’s.
In 1987, she released her sophomore album Heaven on Earth, which catapulted her into a household name. The LP’s lead single ‘Heaven Is a Place on Earth’ climbed the top ten in twelve countries achieving numerous gold and silver certifications. Its famous music video was directed by Academy Award winning actress Diane Keaton. The song became the first of more than twenty global top-charting singles over five Carlisle albums.
Belinda will play all her biggest hits including; ‘Heaven is a Place on Earth’, ‘I Get Weak’, ‘Circle in the Sand’ and ‘Leave A Light On’ at Vicar Street October 8, 2019. Tickets cost from €37.50 inclusive of booking fee and go on sale this Friday at 10am.
