Avril Lavigne announces Dublin date

Punk princess Avril Lavigne heads on over to Ireland’s capital on May 16, with a suitcase full of eyeliner in tow. Presumably.

Ms Lavigne, who recently received the rock ’n' roll honour of contributing to the SpongeBob SquarePants soundtrack, will play the Dublin Point, in support of album number 3, Under My Skin, which has spawned such hits as ‘My Happy Ending’. Said song will get an airing alongside her repertoire of hits, including ‘Complicated’ and the profound ‘Sk8r Boi’.

Tickets for the show go on sale at 9.30am, Wednesday March 2.
