Audience With The Popes
AS EXCLUSIVELY REVEALED in the last issue of hotpress, Shane MacGowan & The Popes play back-to-back shows at the Olympia on May 18th and 19th.
It's part of Dublin's official St. Patrick's Day celebrations, which had to be put on 'hold' because of the foot and mouth crisis.
"These extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures and the response of everyone involved in the festival has been overwhelmingly supportive," says Chief Executive Marua Moynihan. "What better way to spread the message that Ireland is open for business?"

The other musical highlight is May 19th's Big Day Out, which finds Relish, Naimee Coleman, John Spillane, Bellefire and No Angels DC doing their respective things in College Green.
