Ask an Artist is a new Hot Press interactive feature where we give you the chance to ask whatever you want . We caught up with Chris Leonard on his single radio tour, a musician from Meath, and let you ask anything with the instagram 'Questions' sticker.

Hey everyone I’m Chris Leonard and I’m currently on the road right now with my radio tour promoting my brand new single “Kiss in Cali” and I’m taking over Hot Press’ Instagram to do an artist Q and A so send me your questions.

What artist would you love to do a collab with?

Who would I like to do a collaboration with? Probably Clean Bandit or Anne Marie, I think that would be really cool. Anne Marie is sick and Clean Bandit do some good stuff so I think that would be a good one.

Favourite thing about touring?

My favourite thing about touring is probably going to different venues, performing to new people and seeing their reaction to my music. As well as that I actually enjoying the travelling there I actually enjoy being on a tour bus which is probably strange.

Can you play any instruments apart from guitar? If you were learning one which would it be?

I can play the smallest bit of piano but only very basic. Guitar has always been my main instrument.

Do you like fruit?

Yes. I love fruit, probably one of my favourite things, especially banana and watermelon. They are the two best.

Hi Chris! I love you. What was your inspiration to create “Kiss in Cali’? Lots of love from Brazil.

Kiss in Cali was written about a relationship that started off really well and then eventually went downhill. I hope the lyrics tell the story well and I hope it comes across that way.

What impressed you the most concerning the reaction to “Kiss in Cali”?

What impressed me the most was the support, it was unbelievable. Thank you everybody. Hitting the top 10 in the Irish itunes charts - that was insane so definitely that. Thanks everyone!
