Ashley Campbell, Una Healy and more announced for The Late Late Show's Country Music Special
Also appearing on the night will be Jimmy Buckley, Sandy Kelly, David James, Trudi Lalor and Ciarán Rosney.
The Late Late Show has unveiled its lineup for this week's Country Music Special on Friday night - set to include Ashley Campbell, Una Healy and more.
The Late Late Show Country Music Special is an annual themed episode of the late-night chat show on RTÉ One. First launched over a decade ago, the special dedicates their Friday night broadcast to celebrating the best of Irish and international country music.
It features live performances, interviews, cross-genre collaborations and the annual induction into The Late Late Show Country Music Hall of Fame.
This year, host Patrick Kielty will be joined by American singer-songwriter Ashley Campbell, daughter of the late country music star Glen Campbell. She will speak on her love for Ireland, touring with her father and memories of Shane MacGowan backstage, before performing a rendition of Glen Campbell's 'Gentle On My Mind'.
Healy, who launched The Late Late Show Opening Act search earlier this year and was part of the judging panel, will also make an appearance - treating viewers to a country crossover performance alongside Clodagh Lawlor and Claudia Buckley.
In February, Healy, member of Irish Women in Harmony, also featured on The Late Late Show, speaking about the Irish country music industry and her experience on Celebrity Bear Hunt.
Country music artist Nathan Carter will perform his single, 'Walk on Faith', from his new album Doing Alright. He will also share his future plans, which include his first-ever performance at Carnegie Hall in New York this Halloween.
Kielty will then be joined by Cliona Hagan and other Irish country musicians to celebrate the life and legacy of Dolly Parton - sharing stories of her career, her connection to Ireland and performing some of her most-loved songs.
Jesse Sludds, previous winner of The Late Late Show Opening Act competition in April, will also be back in The Late Late Show studio. After his win, he went on to open for Shania Twain at Limerick's Thomond Park in July. Sludds will announce the release of his new single 'Dear Home' and give an update on life since the competition.
Also appearing on the night will be Jimmy Buckley, Sandy Kelly, David James, Trudi Lalor and Ciarán Rosney.
The Late Late Show Country Music Special airs Friday at 9:35 pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.
