Art auction in aid of homelessness featuring well-known Irish and international artists happening this month
Taproot art auction, taking place January 27 at MART in Rathmines will feature a range of some of Ireland’s best known artists with proceeds going to Inner City Helping Homeless.
The aim of the fine art auction is to look at the mental health issues surrounding homelessness in Ireland, a topic that is oft times ignored, and attempt to de stigmatise the issue whilst raising much needed funds.
The event will featuring work by acclaimed painters such as John Ratajkowski and Doug Ross along with pieces by Dublin-based illustrators extraordinaire Ickis Mirolo and Ruan van Vliet. Street artists Decoy and Will St Leger, multi disciplinary artist Aoife Dunne and Hens Teeth print will also be along for the ride.
There’ll be drinks provided on the night, along with tunes courtesy of DJ’s James Rogers (Orange Tree Edits) Staxx Lyrical (Dublin Digital Radio) and a talk with Inner City Helping Homeless.
