Are you heartbroken? Ham Sandwich want your pics
Ham Sandwich are asking their not inconsiderable fan base to help them design the cover for their debut album, which is due in the autumn and addresses the theme of heartbreak.
“We need you to email us high quality digital pictures of objects, places or anything that reminds you of someone,” say the chaps and chapess. “It could be someone that maybe was your first love, an unrequited love, a teenage crush, a childhood sweetheart or the person you married, this is a great opportunity for a nostalgia trip, maybe dig out the old school books where you've scribbled down ‘AB LVS CD’, go back to where you carved names on a tree, maybe a present someone gave you,now take a picture of it and send it to [email protected]. It's going to be totally anonymous so don't be shy, what we're doing with them is creating a 20x5 grid in the inside sleeve of the album with all these images.”
Next month finds the band switching into festival mode with visits to Le Cheile, Oldcastle (August 3); Indie-Pendence, Mitchelstown (4); Irish Green Gathering, Kilane (17); and Féile Beo, Dingle (18).
