Appeal made to find missing Dublin musician Anthony "AK" Kennedy
The former Sacre Bleu man hasn't been seen for over a week
An appeal has been made for any information as to the whereabouts of Anthony ‘AK’ Kennedy who’s been missing from his home in Whitefriar Street, Dublin 8 since around Monday February 21.
A familiar figure on the streets of the capital, Anthony is 69-years-old, around 5’9, slim build, wearing all black clothes and sporting long dark/greying hair.
Anyone who might have spotted him is asked to contact Kevin Street Garda at (01) 666 9400.
Latterly a teacher by profession, AK was from 1978-1980 lead singer, harmonica-player and classical flautist with Sacre Bleu, a band who at one time had U2 manager Paul McGuinness as their live agent and Jim Fitzpatrick of Thin Lizzy as their graphic artist.
Their ’Broken Promises’ single is regarded as a lost Irish classic with AK later going on to front Original Sins and Three Blind Mice.
A much-loved figure, we hope AK is well and found soon.
