Aloe Blacc covers ‘90s alternative anthems on forthcoming EP Rock My Soul

Aloe Blacc today has unveiled details of an upcoming EP, Rock My Soul, which sees the pop singer-songwriter cover ‘90s alternative rock anthems. Set to release June 7, this instalment of his two-part EP series sees Blacc covering iconic songs with his signature soulful twist.
“I’ve always been drawn to the emotional depth and powerful messages in these songs,” ‘The Man’ singer said in a statement. “With Rock My Soul, I wanted to honor the originals while also bringing my own perspective to the music. I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”
The full EP includes covers of No Doubt’s ‘Don’t Speak,’ ‘Lithium’ by Nirvana, ‘Under The Bridge’ by Red Hot Chili Peppers, as well as Green Day’s ‘When I Come Around.’
Blacc has also released a cover of Soundgarden’s ‘Black Hole Sun,’ the first single from Rock My Soul, which you can listen to below or save here.
In the weeks leading up to the full release, Aloe Blacc will unveil one track every Tuesday as part of his #TakeMeBackTuesday campaign, offering fans a nostalgic preview of some of the most idolized songs in music history.
