Aimee Tallulah
From the spacey end of 70s disco and arty, angular new wave, to the tear-jerking melodies of Italo Disco and the freeform rhythmic throb of Krautrock, ‘Aimee’ is refreshingly out of time with modern electronic music.
Andy Meecham is caught in a time warp, but don’t worry it’s of his own making. Meecham, who is also one half of Chicken Lips, has created a world where psychedelic music reigns. From the kaleidoscope on the cover to the title, which has echoes of early, self-conscious Pink Floyd, ‘Aimee’ revels in every off beat element that electronic music has thrown up over the past thirty years. From the spacey end of 70s disco and arty, angular new wave, to the tear-jerking melodies of Italo Disco and the freeform rhythmic throb of Krautrock, ‘Aimee’ is refreshingly out of time with modern electronic music.
