Adrian Crowley wins the Choice Music Prize!
His fabulous Season Of The Sparks album has just made him €10,000 better off!
After a cracking night’s live entertainment, the winner of the 2009 Choice Music Prize and the lovely €10,000 cheque that comes with it is Adrian Crowley.
Congratulations to him, and the other nominees who made up arguably the strongest Choice shortlist yet.
They got the nod from the 12-strong judging panel, which included Hot Press' Roisin Dwyer.
A sizable chunk of the Vicar St. crowd will now be heading to the Mercantile Hotel on Dame Street where And So I Watch You From Afar are playing a free gig for as many people as can squeeze into the D2 venue. The chaps will be on stage at midnight, so you might be able to grab a quick kebab en route.
We'll have a full report and loads of pictures for you on hotpress.com tomorrow.
