Absolute Bowie, Europe’s Finest David Bowie Tribute, announce three nights at The Academy
Absolute Bowie will rock The Academy for three nights in January 2018, to celebrate the life of David Bowie on the second anniversary of his passing.
The 6-piece band will bring superb musicianship and glam rock theatrics to Irish audiences this New Year.
There will be three distinctly different performances across the 3 nights in order to cover David Bowie's incredible 50 year career.
On January 8, Bowie’s birthday, a comprehensive set list from the albums Space Oddity to Diamond Dogs will be performed. Ziggy will take centre stage and numbers will include the likes of 'Space Oddity', 'Jean Genie' 'Ziggy Stardust', 'Suffragette City', 'All the young Dudes', 'Changes', 'Life on Mars', 'Starman' and more.
January 9 will bring what was a change in direction for David. The band will perform The Thin White Duke albums through to the Berlin Trilogy of Low, Lodger and Heroes.
Then on January 10 - one of the saddest days in rock history - Absolute Bowie will commemorate the second anniversary of this Bowie's passing with a performance of tracks from Bowie's latter year albums, from Outside to Blackstar.
Absolute Bowie has been voted one of the best tribute bands in the UK with their energetic stage show.
