Aaagh!
The second Republic Of Loose album saw the band fully hit their stride, with an inspired mix of rock, pop, soul, hip-hop and funk. The band proved they had the rhythmic chops to compete with hip hop royalty, whilst singer Mick Pyro continued to grow in stature as a vocalist and frontman. The stand-out cuts included ‘You Know It’, a sublime slice of pop-soul, and the hit single ‘Comeback Girl’ definitively proving that Republic Of Loose could combine funky grooves with a pop sensibility. Brimful of dancefloor fillers and memorable melodies, Aaagh! was a record to savour.
