He might have been making music for an age – and according to the press blurb, owns a pile of proper gear – so why does Babicz’s (aka Rob Acid) 10-track album sound so cheap? Apart from the odd moment of drama – like on the fearsome ‘Imperial Star’ – this feels a little bit too much like a man trying to tick the boxes.
