3 Doors Down guitarist Matt Roberts has passed away.

Matt Roberts formally the guitarist for british indie act. 3 Doors Down, was found dead in a hotel room in America this weekend past.

The 38 year old guitarist had been in Wisconsin to play a charity event for veterans.
Roberts had a history of anxiety issues and problems with prescription drugs, but as of yet the cause of his death is unknown.

Roberts left 3 Doors Down in 2012 citing health issues, saying that the band's hectic schedule of over 300 dates a year had been exacerbating pre existing health issues.

Tributes for Matt have poured in from across the music world.

Some of my fondest touring memories are with Matt Roberts and the @3doorsdown guys. They believed in us when no one else did. RIP Matty. Love you my man. Have a good journey and we'll float those battleships again one day brother. Condolences to the entire 3 Doors Down family
