21 Savage is arrested by US immigration agents
American immigration authorities have taken the 26-year-old rapper into custody, accusing him of being a British national who has been living in the US unlawfully.
US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have announced that 21 Savage, also known as Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, was arrested on Sunday morning, and now faces deportation.
According to a statement released through WSB-TV 2, the Atlanta, Georgia-based rapper and "United Kingdom national" was taken into custody "during a targeted operation with federal and local law enforcement parters early Sunday in metro Atlanta." ICE spokesman Bryan Cox told WSB-TV 2 reporter Mark Winne that 21 Savage is "unlawfully present in the U.S. and also a convicted felon."
