A Mecca for Japanese food fans for over 20 years, this striking traditional restaurant is renowned for its super-fresh sushi, norimaki, temaki and sashimi with the Chef’s Selections always a good bet. The wok fried noodle, ramen, grilled and hot fish dishes are also superbly executed with Haddock Tempura, Cha Han and Tatsuta Age among the generous house specials. The Bento Boxes change daily, and along with comprehensive wine and cocktail-lists there’s a great selection of sake, soju, plum wine and both Japanese and Irish craft beers. Yamamori Izakaya at 12-13 South Great George’s Street and Yamamori Sushi and its Tengu Bar just up from the Ha’Penny Bridge at 38 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1 are also highly recommended with late night opening and club tunes at the weekends.
